Hi guys!
It was brought to my attention that i've been seriously lacking on posts-I'm sorry! I've been crazy busy with work and school and life and all that jazz in the last few weeks but you have all been on my mind regularly and I've been meaning to re-connect! I'm still seriously bogged down with homework-maybe even more so now than before (!!!) but I want to share a couple photos with you lovely people!
Also, I know for sure very little (if any) blogging will take place in the coming weeks because a certain someone who is EXTREMELY important to me is coming Sunday!!!!!!!!!!!! So exciting! (hi henry when you read this muahahahhaa)
Okay, so here is a bit of australia to last you for the next few weeks.....or at least the next 15 seconds hehe.

Hoooooooooooooooooooome

Hi y'all!
I'm sitting in my new "home", just moved all my stuff in and it feels so good to leave Blue Sky behind for good! It wasn't until I had an opportunity to leave it that I let myself see just how depressing it was! My new place is full of fun people and is SO close to downtown, just a 20 minute walk max!
It's super hot here, feels like summer and I'm going to mosey on over to the city to stock up on some food and toothpaste and other boring domestic goods. I'm being really conscientious and trying to make serious headway on my homework, no more papers finished in 2days for me...................I hope.

skies on fire

UniSA Magill campus at night, I promise to take/post some photos of the campus during the day, its epic!
heading to the cafe on a class break, I had to pull my camera out and be a super tourist for a sec
Jade in my class offered to take my photo with the sky as a background
green tea cupcakes that turned out very sticky, posing some unique storing challenges. I brought them to work for a staff meeting

Friday the 13th!!

Spooky!

Sorry it's been a while, I've been crazy busy working on a paper that was due today. Handed it in, sighed a big sigh of relief, and now I have 3 more to finish in the next 2 weeks-totally do-able..............riiiiiiiight lol. It's good to be busy though, because it makes the time go speeding by as I wait for April 29th to come-the date when Henry lands!!!

BIG NEWS: I'm moving!!!!!!
Yay! This is awesome news! My friend Eliza's roommate has to move out suddenly so I'm taking over her room. Finally escaping this nursing home madness and the passive agressive "memos" from management that I get about 5 times a week, no joke. I've been using them as envelopes within which to put my rent, I hope it makes them mad muahahahahhahahha.
Anyway, yeah, moving! I'm sending most of my stuff with Eliza on Sunday (not that I have a lot of stuff, just the suitcase and a few bags of randomness. Then, Monday morning I'm officially out of here and into THERE! So pumped!

In between the moving I have a shift at work and tentative plans to go to a "footy" game tomorrow night. Footy being Australian Football which is significantly different from UK and "normal" (North American) football, but I'm not entirely sure where those differences lie. If I end up going, i'll tell you all about it!

I've been taking lots of photos of super random stuff (new shoes!!! blue sky!!! tree shadows!!!!) but i'm waiting for them to load right now so I'll wait til a bit later to post the hodge podge of delightfulness.

Oh, an interesting tidbit for you: I discovered that I can write a 2600 word essay in 2 days. I don't know if this is good or bad, I suppose we'll find out when I get my mark back.. It was worth 50% of my final grade so hooooooooopefully it's not a dreadful mark. Why did I give myself 48 hours to write such an important paper, you ask? I was just soooooooo busy being a carefree and irresponsible exchange student, y'know, just taking life as it comes, chilling, hanging out, exploring, and successfully pushing the niggle of an impending essay out of my mind.......until yesterday when I was anything but carefree, of course.

Life Goal: No more procrastinating!!!!!
(I'll start working on that next week)

Happy Easter!!!

I've had a very good, if particularly autumnal, Easter long weekend! I miss you all, though!

The lovely Ruby Hooke came down for the weekend and we had an absolutely awesome time, though the streets were kind of empty many of the days due to Australia's strict public holiday laws. One bar we were at on Thursday night abruptly closed at midnight, due to it legally being Good Friday and therefore unable to serve liquor. It was an even more difficult challenge to find a place on Friday night. But, drinking is NOT all we did this weekend haha.

We caught a movie, as part of the French Film Festival here in Adelaide. It was called 'The Day I Saw Your Heart' and was beautiful! I've recently been feeling very passionate about learning french and hearing the language was a  nice reminder of my goal.

We ate pizza with nachos on top which was the most epic meal combination I have ever encountered. Absolutely delicious hangover food! Today we also had the pleasure of dining with Ruby's boss and his wife, which made today feel like a thanksgiving-ish easter holiday. The weather is decidedly fall in nature, leaves all over the ground and a cool nip in the air. The process of sitting down and having a delicious meal cooked for us added to the thanksgiving-ness. It was a great day! AND I caught a hot yoga class after lunch as well, cheering me up considerably after having to say goodbye to Rubes.

I'm off classes for the next two weeks but have 4 (!!!) assignments to finish and submit in the next 3 weeks so my nose is hitting the books right about.......................now.

Love you!
